Before the school holidays, I have planned to learn car driving during the school holidays. Almost all of my classmates have already got their car licences, and I think that this school holidays is the time to learn it, before those people start laughing at me for learning car driving so late!
The very first step was to ask for more information from the driving academy near my house. Actually I learned the process of getting an 'L' license from my friends in school, so what I wanted to know was how much do I need to pay for the whole process. Wow...just like what I have heard, the fees is really not cheap! But hey... car driving may be very expensive, but that should not deter anyone from learning it, especially us students living in the city.
So, the first part was listening to this 5-hour course in a driving institute. Actually it wasn't really a 5-hour thing... it started almost 45 minutes late, then there's a 30-minute break in between...even after the 30-minute break, it did not start immediately. We need to wait about half an hour more...which I think was to wait for the speaker to resume his 'talk'. Being the first time here, I learnt a lot. But after going back and looking through the booklet that they gave us, I felt that the course is kinda waste of time.
Then there's the theory exam part, which I passed. Then it's time for another 6-hour course (urgh!)... Then I need to wait for almost 2 weeks to get my L license... Then need to wait for my turn to be taught car driving (learnt a mistake: should not have learn car driving during the holidays, when those SPM students, according to my car instructor, come in droves to learn car driving...).
So, now I am still learning. JPJ says a person need to be on the roads for a minimum of 8 hours, and from the start I have already been thinking that this is definitely not enough!
